Back-to-School Information for 2008–2009 School Year Now Online

The first day of school for students in the Houston Independent School District is Monday, August 25, for the 2008–2009 school year, and online and printable (PDF) versions of the school calendar—complete with holidays, testing dates, and more—are available in the “Calendars” channel.
Also available online are school supply lists for Pre-K through sixth-graders and secondary students, as well as information on immunization requirements; uniforms; zoning, enrollment and transfers; and buses and transportation. All of these can be found in the Parent Information channel.
Be sure to view the “Health and Medical Services Immunization Fact Sheet” (PDF) and the Immunization Requirements (PDF) for the 2008–09 school year for updates on required health records and immunizations. More immunization information is available on the HISD Health Services Website.
